Will the ERF be noisy?

The waste is processed in an enclosed environment with air extraction, treatment and sound proofing to reduce noise and emissions to acceptable limits.

Baseline noise monitoring has been undertaken at a number of locations around the site to cover representative periods (such as weekends, early hours of the morning and night time). This data will enable the design process to include measures to reduce operational noise levels such that the effects on the surrounding environment are minimal compared to baseline levels.
