What attracted you to this site and have you had previous applications elsewhere turned down?

This project has been ongoing for a number of years and many feasibility studies were undertaken.  60 other sites within the Powys area were considered, however, the Buttington Quarry site was the most appropriate (see Chapter 3 of the EIA).

The site is zoned for industrial use and is located on a main trunk road to facilitate transport.  There was sufficient land available for the Installation.  There is Planning Policy which supports a development of this nature in this location, consequently Borad Energy are proceeding with a planning application.

Broad Energy have not had previous applications, for a facility of this nature elsewhere turned down.
